  • @ Au Imperial Anabeza Botts

Hi Au. Please note that U.S. regulations require that medical examinations be conducted by the panel physician designated by the visa issuing post. Because you will be applying for an immigrant visa in Manila, you are required to undergo a medical exam at St. Luke's Extension Clinic in Manila, the Embassy's accredited medical facility, before your interview.

Immigrant visa applicants are required to present a police certificate from any place or places of residence for more than one year since attaining the age of 16. There is no waiver of this requirement.

A consular officer may permit the submission of substitute documentation or secondary evidence in lieu of the police certificate only if that document is unobtainable. The catalogue of available documents prepared by the State Department indicates that a police certificate from Bahrain is obtainable.

For information on how to obtain a police clearance from Bahrain, you may visit the following website: http://travel.state.gov/visa/fees/fees_5455.html?cid=8960#docs.

We hope this information is helpful to you. / AdminIV1

  • good evening...i just want to ask if i still need an original copy of my NBI clearance during my medical exam and on my visa interview?because i only got a photocopy of it right now due to the fact that i sent the original copy of it with my IV application at the NVC...i only got my original police clearance, where i secured from our local police station here in our town...hoping to hear a response from your good office..thank you and mabuhay

  • Hi Andy,

You no longer need to submit an NBI clearance during your medical exam, however you need to provide the original copy on your visa interview. In addition, the NBI is only valid for 1 year from the time it was issued.

Thank you, hope this information is helpful to you.

  • Hello...

I am waiting the release of my F2B visa (with two daughters under me) but unfortunately our medical report previously submitted has already expired. Now we are required to submit a new medical report. If I decide to defer the visa of my youngest daughter (so as to let her finish her high school studies before following to the US), do I still need to include her in the new medical report? Also, how will this affect the visa of my daughter once she is ready to follow to the US? My daughter is 13 yrs old. Kindly advice. Thank you very much.
