  • Eva said it.

  • Yes it was Eva. He said "Dont leave me" and she replied "Leave you? I'm going to marry you."

  • thanks, that's what i thought.

  • It was a great line!!!

  • I was hoping Gideon said it cause that would make two woman to ask to marry him, he is so into Eva and can't live without her, you would think he said the magic words

  • @ Dionne hopefully he will do it Gideon style and ask her. I hope so

  • I don't necessarily view that as her asking him- just stating her intentions! Gideon is too strong a force not to do it with some grand gesture. I think he should take a cue from John Stamos and just stop in the middle of their love-making and ask her. That's when they feel the most 'connected.'

  • I agree she was just stating her intentions!~! He'll ask her. After all his did for her. It would be awful if he leaves now.

  • I havereread that several times trying to figure it out, I think Eva is the one who says Don't leave me, and Gideon says Leave you, I'm going to marry you. I think Eva, already knows something is wrong, though she may not know what it is. Back to reading it again.. Maybe Ms. Sylvia can answer this for us??

  • I don't think it was Gideon who said it. The line right after that is that 'He inhaled sharply.' And then he pulls her to him in a rough and careless manner. It's his reaction to her words. He is still just taken aback by the fact that she loves him and wants to be with him- that anyone would. Right after that is when he tells her he loves her- he recognizes that she needs to hear it and he wants to give that to her, because she gives him so much. He is soooo wonderful!

  • Eva said it in Chapter 18, in the car. She said "leave you? im going to marry you".

  • It's such an Eva comment!!! So off the cuff!!

  • He was pushing her away and giving her nothing to hold onto and telling her to "wait".. She'd told him if he couldn't tell her why he was doing this to them and she couldn't have HIM, she needed something to hold on the inside. So he told her a little about his past. Which was also a sign of his trust in her...her telling him she was going to marry him, was Eva letting Gideon know that he gave her something to hold onto, that they had trust in each other.

  • just a reminder that when he gave her the ring he said its NOT that ring your not ready for it yet

  • I see Gideon's proposal being so romantic and over the top! I can't wait!!

  • I took it as Eva stating her intentions and not necessarily proposing...especially since her mother made the comment to her in the hospital.

  • I agree Kandyce she was just reassuring Gideon that she wouldn't leave him. She probably is letting him know she will marry him but it wasn't a direct proposal!

  • I loved his reaction...it also sets up the proposal for the next book.

  • Wasn't that when he went on to tell her he loved her? I loved that too!

  • It was Eva. She wanted to reassure him, that she loved him, she wasn't going to leave him and that her final goal is to marry him. It wasn't a proposal, just confirmation of her love...I loved the fact that he opened up to her and told her something he was trying to pretend it never happened to him, and I love that he he told her "I love you" ♥
