Received an email from Sony Mobile somehow claiming I had registered an account, but I haven't.

  • I received an email from Sony Mobile (The Sony Ericsson Team, Philippines sonymobile@sonymobilemail.com). It says, "Now you can make yourself at home, explore your account, and get involved with the community." I haven't registered an account on Sony Mobile, and I am not sure how they got my email address. Is this legitimate?

  • I recived the same email...strange.

  • looks like spam email

  • Were you all registered with Sony Ericsson? - Johnny.

  • Not that i am aware of. I however participated in a Sony Ericsson contest recently but i cant recall that i registered at your homepage.

  • I am not registered, though I have both participated in contests from Sony Mobile's page and Sony Mobile PH's page. The email I had received came from "The Sony Ericsson Team, Philippines".

  • I have had it confirmed that the sign-ups came as the result of some Facebook competitions that have just had their data loaded up. All entrants have an account created (as per the t's and c's) - which means they get this email. Only those that opted in to marketing will get any further communications - Johnny.

  • To bad, i was hoping it meant that i had won :D

  • Sorry about that Daniel, better luck next time :) - Johnny.

  • I got the email too now. Is it a scam?
