It is (hopefully) a full list of every episode so far from each seaon, so you can check the dvd's you buy to make sure you have all episodes. If there are any errors please let me know.......

I'm not sure exactly how many episodes there are in each season, Universal channel in the UK seems to have its own unique numbering system, so I have just listed them all together in episode order.

  • Thanks for the info Andorian - I would edit the list with your information but it seems I can't edit it now it's been posted, I can only reply. But your post should help clear up any confusion........

  • Thanks for your list Joanne.

  • Helen, I can edit it if you'd like.

  • Thanks Kate - now 'Andorian' has given me the list above I was going to divide the list up into the different seasons to make it easier for everyone to read. That would be good if you can do that - thanks for the help. How come you can edit it and I can't ?

  • I can edit because FPTO made me an admin to help with the page. it's why my Forum posts show up as green

  • In the US season 4, No Promises comes before Terror. (I think CTV aired it out of order; the opposite, for a reason of their own.)

  • Sorry yeah I used to be able to edit stuff but now can't either...kate how come we can no longer edit our own posts?

  • You can edit for 2 hours and then it gets locked. An admin can edit any post at any time

  • huh okay interesting thanks...no room for error yikes! lol

  • Ah. I always wondered what the time limit was on editing. Thanks, Kate.

  • Hi!

I don't know if you have this information, but I bought French Season 1 to 3 but Season 3 is the second half of season 2.

I was wondering if you have information on the listing of the episodes in the French and German DVDs, since I'm going to buy the seasons 3 and 4 as soon as I can, but I can't seem to find a clear answer.

It seems to me that the German DVDs are correct, following the episodes in the Canadian DVDs.

    Thank you very much!

    Letizia

  • Reviving this topic.

I've had some questions about the intended order of the episodes vs how they aired.

I noticed the above lists have Team Player coming before Day Game and Blue on Blue, and I have seen this order followed on ION. I could be wrong, but after watching these episodes I'm inclined to think that it would make sense for Blue on Blue to air before Team Player and not after. I think it would be a bit confusing to have Spike's mom selling the house, then still be around in the next episode. Why set her up as leaving and then still have her around?

Also (at the risk of adding confusion into the mix) after doing some searching online I found a couple of sites (Wikipedia and Epguides.com) listing production numbers next to the episodes. I used to think that the production number signified when the episode was filmed. I would like to know if that's the case and if an episode like Eagle Two, for example, while listed with a production number of 104, was intended to air later as it had done.

I was wondering if anyone can confirm the intended airing order for season one, given the production numbers have them in a very different order. Seasons 3, 4 and 5 also have differing orders. I have listed all of them below.

Here's the listing for season 1 as it aired with the production numbers to the right:

    Scorpio 101

    First in Line 102

    Element of Surprise 106

    Asking for Flowers 108

    Who’s George? 107

    Attention Shoppers 103

    He Knows His Brother 105

    Never Kissed a Girl 109

    Planets Aligned 110

    Eagle Two 104

    Backwards Day 112

    Haunting the Barn 111

    Between Heartbeats 113

I'm mainly curious about the order of season 1. For me the flow works very well, especially with Eagle Two having aired when it did. I think the whole subplot with Sam and Jules wouldn't have worked if this episode had aired earlier.

That said, I do think Haunting the Barn should have aired before Backwards Day, because of Greg and Ed's disagreement in Backwards Day about him taking some time off and why. The rest of the season order is minor, but it would be fun to know what the writers intended. :)

Here's the listing of season 3 with the aired order on the left and the production numbers on the right:

    Unconditional Love 301

    Severed Ties 302

    Follow the Leader 303

    Whatever it Takes 304

    The Other Lane 306

    Jumping at Shadows 308

    Acceptable Risk 309

    Collateral Damage 305

    Thicker Than Blood 307

    Terror 311

    No Promises 310

    I’d Do Anything 312

    Fault Lines 313

I think season 3 suffered slightly when ION (and possibly CTV) aired The Other Lane before Collateral Damage, confusing the subplot involving Ed and Sophie. She shows up in the beginning of The Other Lane and Ed asks her why she's out of bed, when she's prescribed bed rest at the end of Collateral Damage.

    Here's the season 4 listing:

    Personal Effects 401

    Good Cop 402

    Run Jamie Run 403

    Through a Glass Darkly 404

    The Better Man 405

A Day in the Life 406

    Shockwave 407

    Grounded 412

    The War Within 408

    Cost of Doing Business 409

    Wild Card 410

    A New Life 411

    A Call to Arms 413

    Day Game 415

    Team Player 414

    Blue on Blue 416

    Priority of Life 417

    Slow Burn 418

As I said above, I do believe that Blue on Blue should have aired before Team Player. CBS and ION also aired Grounded out of order. I'm not sure why, but it didn't seem to affect the flow at all for me, personally.

Season 5 had a few hiccups with CTV airing A World of Their Own out of order, and ION swapping Lawmen and Fit for Duty because of the Sandy Hook shootings. Both ep guides got A World of their Own confused with We Take Care of Our Own.

    Broken Peace 501

    No Kind of Life 502

    Run to Me 503

    Eyes In 504

    Sons of the Father 505

A World of Their Own 506

    Below the Surface 507

    Forget Oblivion 508

We Take Care of Our Own 509

    Lawmen 510

    Fit for Duty 511

    Keep the Peace (pt.1) 512

    Keep the Peace (pt.2) 513

I think seasons 3, 4 and 5 work with the production numbers with only the minor tweaking in 3 and 4 as mentioned above. It's just season 1 that's got me curious. :)

  • I don't have all the answers but production order is the order episodes were filmed which can have a lot to do with availability of actors or locations and nothing to do with the intended order for them to air. I'm not sure if the order of season 1 is anything other than availability. In season 4 Grounded got moved up due to the switch from Flashpoint being a summer series to airing during the regular season and they thought Grounded would make a better "premiere" episode for that. Season 5 had the complication of timing with the Sandy Hook shootings for US and UK fans and also A World Of Their Own was aired out of order in Canada, I know why but I'm not allowed to share...

  • Thanks, Kate. :) That makes sense.

I'm very glad the show was able to maintain continuity with filming the episodes out of order. There's another show I'm a fan of that filmed episodes out of order and it affected the flow greatly, because they didn't keep tabs on the continuity. So something in the premiere episode contradicted episode 2, mainly because episode 2 was filmed first and things were changed in that one that were not reflected in the premiere once they started on that one. I think the crew on Flashpoint did a great job at keeping things flowing smoothly no matter what order they filmed the episodes in. :)
