Whole Wheat Sandwich Bread

  • Has anyone tried Whole-Wheat Sandwich Bread in All-Time Best Recipes,I did and what an experience my kitchen is still recovering. The dough was so wet it was un-workable spilling over the loaf pans,I wonder if there was a typo in the recipe, I have made bread for many years and never experienced anything like this

  • Hello... Yes... We tested the America's Test Kitchen Whole-wheat Sandwich Bread recipe and you are correct... it was very wet. Added at approximately a cup of flour to bring it more towards normal bread dough consistency.

    Baking:

    We used 425 degrees convection bake for 20 min. and then 350 degrees for 25 min. to finish (200 degrees internal).
